Yesterday my lady @iewucizz created some traditionally coloured easter eggs. In Latvia the traditional way of doing this is to colour white eggs with onion peels, after covering some areas with rice, tea or ribbons.
Here’s a picture of the finished result, oiled up for additional prettiness:
For colouring the eggs with the onion peels, they’re put in a pot of boiling water inside any kind of cloth, very practical is nylon though. Wrap it up with some sewing thread and you’re good to go!
